The why? Simple. Private markets are broken. Too many intermediaries. Too much friction. Too little transparency. That’s the why. Bringing equity onchain fixes this: efficiency, programmability, interoperability. A better system for securities, built on native onchain rails.

👋 I could have titled this cast "Hello world" I’ve been building in the background for years. Now, I feel the need to step up Since moving to the US, I stayed behind the scenes, talking to 100s of founders & iterating. I thought a great product/vision & solid fundamentals would naturally reach the right people. But building in the shadows isn’t enough. If you don’t shape the narrative, someone else will. We've seen ICOs, DAOs, NFTs, memecoins. Hype comes & goes, but private markets remain outdated But we kept delivering and ✅ helped founders raise from thousands of investors ✅ onboarded them all onchain, seamlessly ✅ turned $1B+ of cap tables into smart contracts on @base All while navigating a US system that resists change. After 1000s of zoom with founders, it’s time to bring those discussions out in the open. So expect more. More insights. More real talk & cast. Because tech alone isn’t enough. Execution alone isn’t enough. The why & how matters as much as the code. Onwards🚀

One of the most frustrating things about Farcaster right now is the new channels feature. It’s frustrating when a channel that should be 'community-owned' ends up being locked down by an 'owner' (often early FID but ...) who limits it to just 10 or 50 members able to post. If a channel is meant to serve the broader community, it shouldn’t be locked or controlled by a single owner. Would love to see more flexibility and openness in how these channels are managed.

When I am in Silicon Valley, I like to make a stop (as a pilgrimage) at @draperuniversity & down in the basement at Boost VC to see this painting of @boostdraper & @brayton It perfectly captures the founder’s journey: chaotic, unpredictable, like flying a plane still being built, but we keep going!

Great to see any initiative! Until they get that public money, which stifles entrepreneurship by creating dependency instead of fostering real market-driven innovation. True progress comes from risk-takers, not from those waiting on subsidies. Did you know for example that many VCs in France receive significant public funds and co-invest with a public entity called the Public Bank for Investment (BPI), funded 100% by taxpayers? Toxic ecosystem...

2/2 Europe will never be a global leader in EVs and innovation. It is stuck with people like Breton at the helm who think they can overregulate and lecture industries into success. History has shown that top-down approaches do not create wealth, innovation does. It's tragic for me to watch, and exactly why so many founders, including myself, have decided to build elsewhere.
