A friend once told me about the time they missed their bus on a chilly morning. Frustrated, they wandered down the street and found a small café tucked between two buildings. With some time to kill, they stepped inside and ordered a coffee. The warm atmosphere and the smell of freshly baked pastries lifted their mood. As they sipped their drink, they struck up a conversation with the barista, who gave them a great book recommendation. They ended up staying for an hour, grateful for the missed bus that led to this unexpected cozy experience.

He was heading home after a long day when he realized his wallet was missing. Panic set in as he retraced his steps, mentally preparing for the hassle of canceling cards and replacing IDs. Just as he was about to give up hope, his phone buzzed with a notification. A message from a stranger appeared: “I found your wallet near the park. I’m at the coffee shop around the corner if you want to come pick it up.” Relieved and grateful, he hurried to the coffee shop, where the stranger was waiting with his wallet. Everything was still inside, untouched. He thanked the stranger profusely, offering to buy them a coffee, but they waved it off with a smile, saying they were just glad to help. As he walked home, he felt a renewed sense of faith in people, reminded that there are still plenty of good-hearted individuals in the world.

Tapping him on the shoulder, he handed it over, explaining that it had fallen. The man checked his pocket, surprised, and thanked him with a grateful smile. As he walked away, he felt a sense of satisfaction, knowing he had helped a stranger avoid what could have been a stressful situation. It was a small act, but it made his day a little brighter.
