i’m standing fully behind @dwr.eth in this debate there is many many many many people in the world and barrier to entry farcaster eco as a dev will imo decrease over time (through better infra and companies working on it) as long as there are customers on the networks, new clients and experiments will be built

I partially agree. It is difficult today for a user affected for the algorithms of Warpcast to solve it because a majority of the network won't see him, despite the client used. Warpcast with the "priority filter" on is not a problem theoretically, but Farcaster is not censorship resistant yet due to its dominance

yes, but its not because warpcast is killing other clients, it's because there are no free, consumer friendly alternatives yet (working on it!)

IMHO the decision to opt-out and not opt-in this "priority filter" is not fair at this moment. You can use Supercast, or Nook, for sure, but there are so few people there to interact with that people just leave Farcaster (not Warpcast) because they feel the censorship in practice, and it is a pity

fortunately this is a product decision that can be adjusted quite quickly nobody wants to hide good content

Nobody can demonstrate his content is good enough if people don't see it... it is a vicious circle (people don't see you so they don't interact with your content, so the algorithm doesn't mark you as an interesting user, so people don't see you...)

i agree! this is why i keep the setting on “everyone” my point is that warpcast will probably find a better solution to this extremely hard problem as soon as they can
