Does anyone still have all of their downloaded music from before streaming platforms were a thing? I have an external dedicated for it, ive managed to preserve all of my pre-streaming mp3 files since 2006ish. Going through that is always so fun

Yo, apple music rekt all my digital downloads over time. I do have a spool loaded with CDs from the late 1990's in a box somewhere.

Oh I always downlaoded hard copies and saved it off apple music. Mainly because it wasnt downloaded from apple 👀 ... ZIP files. IYKYK

ok remind me to tell you the story about how in high school the internet provider reached out to my mom flagging something about pirating "illegal" downloads - she blamed it on my neighbor but we were forced to have some enhanced security on our network and man was she pissed. Thats basically the story

Im not quite sure - either way, my ass hole neighbor was apparently downloading all these movies on my internet, burning them to DVDs and selling them to the kids at my highschool. can you believe that MY NEIGHBOR was doing that.
