Does anyone still have all of their downloaded music from before streaming platforms were a thing?  I have an external dedicated for it, ive managed to preserve all of my pre-streaming mp3 files since 2006ish.

Going through that is always so fun

Yo, apple music rekt all my digital downloads over time. I do have a spool  loaded with CDs from the late 1990's in a box somewhere.

Oh I always downlaoded hard copies and saved it off apple music.  Mainly because it wasnt downloaded from apple 👀 ... ZIP files. IYKYK

I remember well. In fact remind me to tell you the story about negotiating with the Recording Industry Association of America to settle a lawsuit against my office manager's daughter for file sharing.

ok remind me to tell you the story about how in high school the internet provider reached out to my mom flagging something about pirating "illegal" downloads - she blamed it on my neighbor but we were forced to have some enhanced security on our network and man was she pissed.   Thats basically the story
