My 11 yo is currently writing a gothic story. Love that education is emphasising story telling. But to what end? Never has she been asked to write what she believes in. Too much of these skills will end up being directed at writing company reports rather than what is truly valuable. Let’s have /believein for kids

Depends what the company are trying to achieve. I write reports/ strategy docs using skills in rhetoric and story-telling to influence senior leaders to implement positive people strategies. Is that not valuable @chriscocreated ?

Yes, yes it is. Though I suspect it’s a rhetorical question? The point I was trying to make is that our education system doesn’t by default install agency and belief in our children that can change the world. Rather develops them in service to the current paradigm.
