Trialling interesting coaching questions for kids on my 11yo. Today: How have you been kind to others today? Reaction: pensive then slowly out they came: I gave S a highlighter, I let H kick the ball, I asked J to sit with us etc Both of us = full of happy hormones Good way to build +ve sense of self. Recommend!

That's a good one. Our son was a bit sad today. He had am exercise about gratitude. He had to think of a person he wanted to thank for something they did that made him happy. The only one he could think of was a friend from a previous place we lived 3 years ago. Whilst he could probably list many things for your q.

Yes, that’s quite a niche question. I think it helps to give kids some examples sometimes. I’m sure there are plenty of things you have done to make him happy.

Yes, when we talked about that, he realised that, but he felt really sad that he doesn't have a good friend at school at the moment. We hope he finds one next year. He is a really kind little person, but he's not very much in sync with his peers. Great with younger kids and adults.
