I still have not seen a non-money use case that _needs_ crypto, but I'm open to finding one.

but this is a good point, there are other usecases that shouldn't need exchange but need the security, like Hats Protocol, Guild, GitPOAP, Autonolas, etc. not fully proven out, imho.

I've never seen onchain governance work. There is no way to have sybil resistance and you basically end up with the same thing you would have offchain. As soon as you jump into relying on an offchain oracle, you don't need crypto.

Verifiable & auditable governance

If we used crypto for voting in elections, there'd be no more debate around stolen elections
