Always interesting that there’s such a big disconnect between public opinions of VCs and what founders say privately about them. Paradigm is in a PR crisis, but their portcos say great things about them in private. Other big VCs are the opposite. Good Twitter reputation, but portcos rate them poorly.

Months ago I asked a founder who joined @alliancedao why he picked us over the accelerator/fellowship/EIR of a big name VC. Among other things he said “if you don’t get follow-on from the VC it’s a big red flag”. Indeed, the accelerator arm of a VC is just their marketing top of funnel, not the product itself.
