i love crowded markets. great sign of demand. formula = find an underserved segment in a crowded market, and build a 10x better soln just for them. use that as a wedge and overtime try to win the rest of the market.

building something that "just works" takes a ton of effort, and attention to detail which is why it's best to do just one thing, and do it really well. the scope of the thing can change though.
