I used to believe web3 could unlock that. I’ve never been more disillusioned in my life.

The problem with web3, assuming you’re meaning Ethereum/similar is that it’s incapable of being a medium for the whole of the web. Geocities and home grown servers were the path of least resistance to publishing on the web. Building anything on Ethereum is the exact opposite of what that era of the web was —
