I think one of my top hiring mistakes was not looking at onchain activity of potential employees. You can’t build for consumers you don’t understand. To create superior onchain products, you need to be using all kinds of onchain offerings.

I think this was an error we saw in a lot of the major NFT and blockchain projects in the last cycle. Hiring leaders and executives with little on chain knowledge. Although honestly - in some of those cases if felt like the companies saw it as a badge of honour to have the money to hire non web3 people.

Yeah? Surprising that they'd think of it as a badge of honour. From my experience, I think those that hire non native folks are either looking for cheaper resources (in case of devs) or for a whole different set of professionalism (that people from venture, consulting bring to the table)
