Base season is making voting for props on L1 feel silly. So expensive 🤦

Anybody interested in a prop to move voting over to base or another L2? Surely I’m not the only one feeling this…

We’re actively working on a solution for this in /Lil-nouns

yes we should but at the same time it’s just not the most urgent thing imo. L1 does have more provenance weight. these L2s are also still pretty early (don’t have functioning fraud proofs etc). don’t get me wrong i’m for it lover the long term just not feeling stressed about it in the immediate term

What are the technical requirements here? I’m interested in helping solve this but my hunch is that it’s not as simple as it seems

I think _some_ monetary friction is good friction… like, people should be voting for things that matter to them - proposals they’ve taken the time to form a legit opinion around - not just piling on to ride the tide (looking at @seneca’s cast today). 

I just don’t like burning $50 to be like “same guys”

If the expense of voting is a concern. Why make voting be on blockchain at all vs just publishing the voting results to the blockchain after polling them in a web2 solution(no cost to voters)?
