just bought a lot more sol had fomo. love using solana. but long term… i still don’t really understand why solana is better than a mature ethereum L2

Well, a VM w/ native parallel execution makes for higher throughput (given that’s how modern computers have scaled) and localized fee markets lead to lower costs For context I love ethereum and have been building there since 2016 but can see benefits to trade offs. Long term we will converge to similar ideas though

In my mind it's simple - multiple L2s fracture the liquidity and add friction into crypto where as a singular high performance chain doesn't. Bridges suck. Switching metamask sucks. Also with L2 everyone is recreating each other's work on the other L2 instead of innovating so it's diluting solidity dev talent as well

What do you mean by better? Honest question. Not trying to argue. 🙂 Solana is faster, cheaper and more capable than any current L2. And it’s innovating at a faster rate than Ethereum and the current L2s.
