It's kinda telling that it took AI for nuclear energy to have a comeback, with support from big tech.

All other human energy needs such as HVAC for our now extreme cold and hot weather conditions weren't enough.

Also, people demonized other tech such as Bitcoin for consuming energy yet everyone seems to be cool with AI requiring even more energy.

Wouldn't it be part of the government's job to identify gaps in the private sector (such as lack of clear profit potential) and incentivize with tax benefits, grants and other ways?

I guess it's much to ask to have government be able to identify these needs and adjust incentives to address them.
