Overall thoughts: 
- I have more appreciation for Crypto as a way to create permissionless trading structures + democratize financial products
- Equities went from shitcoins to the bulk of most institutional portfolios
- The difference in preparation for war by financial institutions for WW1 and WW2. WW1 was a complete shock, everyone was ready for WW2
- London became the main hub for international securities trading starting in the late 1700s and didn't let up the lead for a long time. Understanding the dynamics on why (their geography as an island, lack of being conquered, de-regulation + development of East India Company)
