Once stayed in a really toxic company and completely destroyed my mental health. What I've learned after that experience is that having the courage to wake up every day is already an achievement. Being alive is a success itself

Anyone had experience waking up everyday fearing that your company run out of cashflow? Especially in the early stage of fundraising? How did you deal with such stress?

Lol why would I use it here, had enough of it at work already ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ anyway my point is even after a smooth onboarding process, there should be a mechanism in place, or sth here that can keep people engaged - people these days easily lose interests when they don't see value

Yes! it helps to lower the entry barrier. We can probably look at their journey from different stages, for example: - entry: having buddies/onboarding in place to guide them and navigate web3 ecosystem - retention: they stay on the platform cause the network here is awesome/ discovered topics and discussions they're interested - engagement: start building content themselves, form communities, invite more friends to join

That's great point - and I wonder how you build that culture within the organization. And what if the challenge is more within cultural differences, such as being outspoken or not; valuing individuality or group harmony

What's your take on navigating communication across different cultures? Working in remote startups in some occasions, I find it as one of the biggest challenges for teams based in different countries

Maybe the main reason behind is there aren't significant cases shown to web2 people how they can utilize web3 space for what they're doing - where we need to bridge the gap

Agree on your point of building sense of belonging On your point of making profit - when genuine web2 folks hop on a new platform, I feel like monetary returns aren't the bigget pull factor ๐Ÿค” some join cause they expect making money, but I think ultimately is building meaningful connections and finding value in relevant channels

Love your idea of bringing people from Africa onboard btw - I've been building communities in web2 space and they have been one of the most active communities and always on the look out for opportunities. Back to the question on bringing people from web2 over, what do you think is the biggest value-add for them?

Hey @dummie.eth speaking from personally experience, as someone from web2 and just exploring web3 (literally 3 months lol), the barrier of using FC is high lol the common challenge my friends have is seeing the value being here (and ofc navigating all the new terminologies what people are talking about)

I've been mostly in web2 startup/non-profit space, only joined web3 recently. Sth I'm been trying to figure out is what value FC brings to web2 people? I have some friends trying out but eventually said it's hard to navigate and "didn't get information" they need
