It's tough, but we need to push more and bring more web2 frens into warpcast, it could be hard for them to get it at first, but if they dedicate an ample time, i think we can start something? I'm trying my best on that part, but they usually quit, can't stop now right?! 😅 I hope to bring in more people in Africa too. https://warpcast.com/0xcodeee/0xf5be7d7d

Love your idea of bringing people from Africa onboard btw - I've been building communities in web2 space and they have been one of the most active communities and always on the look out for opportunities. Back to the question on bringing people from web2 over, what do you think is the biggest value-add for them?

A place where they can actually show their web2 skills, value or talents and be comfortable about it It's not immediately introducing them to a place where they can make money. If you can just tell them of a social app, related to crypto but something new and unique, now they join without expecting fast money and they being their genuine selves, they'll get the hang, but motivation is one thing they need. @bfg check out someone i just met on here

nice to meet you JessY 🤝 Do you think curated buddy-system would work for onboarding members? Just imagine any community you are involved with - would people join a new social network if they'd find their friends from the community there and new folks as well + they could be sure they won't get banned and loose it all?

Yes! it helps to lower the entry barrier. We can probably look at their journey from different stages, for example: - entry: having buddies/onboarding in place to guide them and navigate web3 ecosystem - retention: they stay on the platform cause the network here is awesome/ discovered topics and discussions they're interested - engagement: start building content themselves, form communities, invite more friends to join

Lol why would I use it here, had enough of it at work already 🤷‍♀️ anyway my point is even after a smooth onboarding process, there should be a mechanism in place, or sth here that can keep people engaged - people these days easily lose interests when they don't see value

😄 good! And yeah, agreed people need to find something and someone interesting quickly and get some reactions I think finding the right channels of interest for the person 🧍 is the key 🤷‍♂️ I found my crowd at /Founder channel and it helped me stick
