the approval process to review requests on github have been excruciatingly slow (months?). You did mention the release of a new bridging mechanism today - hopefully that is permissionless like arbitrum.

Btw — for anyone bridging on/off @base, the ultimate hack is to use Coinbase CEX. Saves you $$$ on bridging fees because it's native and treats all ETH the same. It's the best way to on/off-ramp to Base.

hey Jesse, I've flagged this a few times on my @dank account Metamask is consistently overestimating gas needs on BASE by 3x I know we're pivoting to CB wallet, but do you have any recommendations on how I could recommend a fix to them on this?
