I'd love to see someone build and scale onchain payments for cannabis businesses on @base. 

it's unbelievable that we've legalized across the country, but small businesses and consumers are treated horribly by the existing financial system. 

time to upgrade the system.

Challenge is that it’s both capital intensive and difficult to form and keep banking relationships. So even if, say, a cannabis merchant accepted payment onchain, unless the rest of the ecosystem is also onchain, they’ll need to offramp in order to make their next purchase or pay their employees.

Which does have me wondering how one might best identify economy segments that are well suited to a change in base currency. If you were to draw a graph of all vendor/customer relationships, you’d be looking for clusters that are more isolated. Almost like old company towns that were paid in scrip.
