I often feel that you and the Base team have turned 'onchain' into a buzzword. While this does help bring more mainstream attention to our space, I also think it dilutes the definition of the term. Perhaps I'm just a purist and it's time for a new set of terms in our industry. What are your thoughts on using 'onchain' to describe anything from loose interactions with the blockchain to fully onchain art, games and protocols that truly embody the blockchain medium (security, permanence, interoperability, trust, etc.)? Should we have a new word for the latter? Additionally, what are your thoughts on the current glossary of terms like 'crypto' and 'NFTs,' which have gained a negative reputation since the last bull market cycle? Should they be replaced?

i think we need new language to describe what we're building in a way that centers it as a technology change and leaves behind the historical baggage of crypto. onchain is the best world we've found for that thus far. i think NFT should probably go away and we should start talking about "onchain media", "onchain music", "onchain videos", etc etc. much easier to grok.

But would you agree with me that calling onchain music a link to an mp3 on IPFS as different from, for example, music generated from onchain primitives via smart contracts? The former feels an inappropriate use of "onchain" as it is hardly constrained by the medium or even uses it in any meaningful way. I'm not saying that's bad. Onchain royalties and/or digital art collectibles for musicians to monetize album art ate examples of good onchain use cases, but generalizing it all as "onchain music" feels disingenuous, no?
