How long did it take to go from 0 --> release candidate for base? Basically I'm wondering: how long does it take to build an L2

we started our way towards base in late 2021, but it took a few iterations to realize we should be building an L2. we started in earnest on base in late summer last year with a small scrappy team. that team still makes up the core, but we have 100+ contributors from across the company who’ve made base possible.
