Thinking about how Farcaster could eventually become a music streaming protocol... Imagine if the metadata about a song could be represented in a message, and listens would be another type of message. Clients could opt-in to support them.

Are you thinking a token would be necessary as a way of representing a streaming licensing agreement?

i made a hack a week ago that sent signed server messages back to the Farcaster client — today servers send back unsigned arbitrary data. all we need then is a rights registry or a token like you said, and we get permissionless playback.
