Looking into home gym setup to train whilst my ankle is totalled. Current thoughts: - half rack w/ plate storage - voltra cable machine - barbell - plates Stretch possibilities: - adjustable dumbell

Good, wide bench Full rack imo unless you're space limited Plates Barbell Dip bar Adjustable dumbell (I like my ironmaster quick locks) Ab roller Imo cable machine only if you can afford it

Space limited in an apartment. But what do you like about full vs half rack? Going for cables because my goal is not lifting but lifting to get stronger for climbing, so need quite a bit of specific accessory work (also for rehab for my grade 3 ankle sprain). Dip bar is a good idea, may add that on

Safety pipes / safety straps. If you have those, I guess it doesn't matter really. Barbell / dumbbells are way more versatile than cables, and strength is strength weather you use cables or free weights. I'm not against cables, I love them. But it wasn't the first thing I bought.
