Besides the fact that these policies platforms mean nothing, the differences I remember between Bernie and Buttigieg was Nuclear power. Besides Pete’s ability to make stupid people look bad, in a kind way, (very Midwestern) Nuclear Power was one of the reason’s I liked Pete I think it could go a LONG way in getting us closer to net zero emissions

Pete can talk about policy w/wit & nuance and then quickly rebut w/stats and also can make emotional sense. I wanted a pres who was smart af and not just vibes Clinton, Bush 2, Obama, Trump were vibes. Clinton & Obama were smart. But also cool But I don’t want cool guy being my doctor, or president. Give me a nerd, a policy wonk & good communicator.

In the end I think they represent two distinct and important parts of the party. What we should be aiming for (Bernie) vs. What is ultimately accomplishable (Pete) The reason I liked Pete even though I voted for Bernie, is that I think it’s important to be nuanced. I never liked how one dimensional Bernie was

Policy-wise I think Pete made the mistake of being too practical. As someone who seems very interested in the actual implementation of policy I think he wrote down a lot of what he thought was possible While Bernie I think write down a lot of Left goal post moving policy Bernie’s platform is very easy to understand

Wealth Inequality, Wall Street taxes, income inequality and minimum wage they are almost lock step in what they propose. One of the biggest differences is in their support of Medicare for All. Bernie was “Medicare for All or bust” Pete was “opposes Medicare for all but would expand coverage of Medicare”
