What would you have done differently to create more user lock-in? It appears that Farcaster light-clients are entering a zero-sum game, if it's so easy to switch between apps. It seems to be in a developers interest to make it hard to leave.

Either with lock-in (iOS/Safari) or by deploying heavy resources to win (Google/Chrome). We haven't seen a small startup gain mainstream marketshare in the last 10 years. Even with Arc, Microsoft is now copying their features given they have more resources: https://twitter.com/joshm/status/1623706988596305920

Just pointing out no lock-in evolves to zero-sum: for browsers, you aren't convincing new users who haven't used the internet to use your browser, you're convincing existing users of other browsers to switch. e.g. aren't FIDs an example of lock-in for farcaster? e.g. why not cast with a delegated key for your ENS ๐

And all of it is lock in to Ethereum. :) We never promised people using a given app, just permissionless access to the protocol APIs and data and a direct relationship with your users. Not there yet but will get there.
