Some things that helped me onboard and stick with farcaster early on 

- having two friends @kyle @vm 
- casting regularly for a period of time 
- getting replies and finding conversations on the things i cared about 
- discovering and using tools in the ecosystem including nftd, searchcaster, perl v1, unlonely
