This is a no-brainer for most but some ambitious projects need capital and teams just to get something off the ground.

Add on that for some the uncertainty of not having funding to only worry about PMF vs PMF + runway means they don’t reach PMF ever You never know when you reach PMF you only know that you trust yourself to figure it out (and that also is an up and down emotional rollercoaster of self confidence and self doubt for many people) Meaning some require funding not for the money but their mental If anyone knew for SURE the get PMF bootstrapping anyone thinking straight would pick it. So framing of the question by Ben leaves that out sadly so results are obvious

Similar to your question about evaluating if something is really a solution searching for a problem, how might founders take as sober a view as possible about whether and the amount of money they need? The default solution seems to be “money will solve this problem of the idea not working…because I just need more [fill in the blank]”

@tldr I’d be curious to hear your take on this. Sounds like you may have a different perspective?
