Anyone else feel like they have more friends more interested in private equity / search fund paths than the traditional founder mode path? I feel like i talk to at least one founder a day that tells me they want to roll up apps, small biz, saas, etc. Maybe the word has gotten out that PMF is hard.

Tell them they missed ZIRP by a decade. Seriously though, the strategy is becoming popularized in T1 MBA classrooms. That’s why you’re seeing the uptick.

It feels like more people are drawn to rolling up apps and small businesses rather than starting from scratch. PMF is tough, and maybe that’s making the search fund route more appealing.
