Why don't I have the active badge yet?

- Most common reason is your engaging casts score is < 1.2. See formula below.

- 2nd most common reason is the active badge job hasn't run yet (1x per day at 12am Pacific)

- 3rd most common reason is disconnecting your Ethereum address

It feels like active badges are being easily gamed, and it's tougher to distinguish active users from quality and active users.

I wonder if increasing the quality of following and inbound engagement would help (i.e. 5 active badges or 5k+ followers, engagement from 2 active badge holders)

example @fonzgm doesn't have an active badge *yet but i know is legit from the quality of his casts, followers and engagement

Bounties

Had to temporarily turn off pitching in funds to bounties through frames. You can still pitch in by replying "@bountybot add X USDC"

We had limited pitching in funds through the frame to users before Farcaster went permissionless OR with an active badge. There was an influx of active badge users that spammed the frame

yeah followers itself imo isn't a strategy

can bump that requirements up up up, but not even all OGs are able to keep up with that number, many awesome people just using it normally and not being "influencers"

I feel like the reaction + replies / casts is still an interesting metric

Yeah some kind of hub and spoke based criteria for qualifying users as active would be dope 

Followers are never a good metric imo 

Especially post frame action requirement apocalypse

Not sure how they do it but I hope it doesn't become harder for those of us who are trying to do it organically.

Activity on a platform shouldn't determine worth. Meaningful content should stand out, regardless of how often it's posted. Moreover it promotes addiction to screens. Quality over quantity I'd say and encourage genuine connections beyond our devices
