I know this is a controversial take, but I loathe Discord

But to verify just reply with a thumbs up emoji, then the flag emoji of your country of residence, then verify you are human via an app, then find my message buried under 3000 “GM” posts. Or is it above? I never know which way to scroll…

Oh I absolutely hate Discord as an end user

Chat apps are exactly like web forums except without the search-ability, link-ability, accessibility and all those other convenient features. What's not to love? /s

Don’t think that’s controversial. Most people in the space seem to agree. I don’t really have a problem with it though. Why do you dislike it?

Honestly i think it's only controversial within our space.

Talking to people outside crypto/nfts, when they express an interest and i try to onboard them, Discord is frequently the point they stop at.
