The worst is when it’s a thread with multiple long tweets that you have to click show more for each one

That’s just terrible experience and honestly the UI should protect users from bad choices like that. If a tweet has to be expanded AND it’s threaded, the 1st click should “unroll” all, with the threading collapsing in the UI into a long tweet.
