Is this a sign of future D wins? Democrats flipped a Republican seat in Pennsylvania’s state Senate, continuing their run of overperformances in special elections. James Malone, a mayor in the Lancaster County district that was vacated by Sen. Doubtful. They do great in special elections when the focus can remain local and on local issues. This was the case from 2022-2024 and clearly didn’t track nationally
