Do we really need “great men” to steer us? I push back on this take of history. Strong institutions have protected us from “great men” 9 times out of 10.

It's human nature to want a strong leader, especially when times are hard and institutions are dysfunctional Institutions usually follow great men, but are also preceded by them https://warpcast.com/androidsixteen.eth/0x30f529ab

It’s not “great” men that steer us but technological and energy developments and how they steer the actions of individuals and organization. Of course an individual can be responsible for such developments, but the societal changes happen from how people at large interact with the developments.
