I started taking photos in 1995 because I had to take an art class in high school. My mom was a photographer so I had a camera. I got a C in my Photo 1 class cause we had to take photos of still lives and shit and I hated the darkroom. But in Photo 2 I got to take photos of my actual life and I never put down a camera.

Very cool… my mother handed down her 110 film Minolta when I was 5 or 6, and it had some tape to keep the doors closed… I started taking pictures of frogs and toads and turtles in my backyard. These days, the turtles are bigger. 🤙🏼🐢

Excellent. I think I only have one turtle photo (okay it's a tortoise - let me live) but it's a pretty fun one.

I keep going over this with @monikanft… all tortoises are turtles, but not all turtles are tortoises. A tortoise is a type of turtle, so it’s a great share on Turtle Tuesday! 🤙🏼💙🐢

Not sure how I have made it to my 40s before I found that out. It was wild to see that guy just roaming around someone's house in the Galapagos. They feel like dinosaurs.

Oh man, I’d love to get there some day. They live forever, it seems!
