They would lose 80-90% of their users. The internet became accustomed to free music a long time ago, now video content too. Even kids, aren't that much into shows/ films created by studios, they watch solo creators on YouTube more often. Artists have to adapt and monetize in a different way. Also, F the mainsteam

Quite difficult question for me because I wanna build my life around music, and any income from streaming means a lot. But that doesn't mean streaming services would share more money with artists, they could just earn more for themselves, nobody knows :/ Maybe I'd leave it free for poor countries 111 $degen

The music industry still hasn't come to terms with what the internet did and continues to do. Information wants to be free. We need to think about new models of monetization.
