is anyone taking peptides? a friend started talking to me about them. i can’t tell if it’s a shill or if it’s really the skincare and fitness miracle she claims.

I did for like two years and noticed no significant difference. From what I've seen, the evidence is mixed on whether it's actually beneficial, so I stopped

Just curious: did she make other lifestyle changes when she started taking peptides?

I’d just eat more meat tbh. You’d primarily be lacking if you don’t get in enough protein or if that protein is primarily from plant sources. Even in the first case the bigger effect is having more protein. And you’d get a lot of said peptides and branch chain amino acids from meat

I take collagen, it breaks down into peptides. I feel like it helps my old joints

I wish I could answer, there’s of course peptides in the collagen I stick in my drinks. But I stick it in my drinks once every few months when I think about it so without doing it regularly, I guess I have no clue. But thanks for the reminder. It was in the back of the cabinet. It’s now on my counter. My focus this summer is health and wealth
