i waited out the channel changes, gave them a fair shake. but from what i can tell: - lots of friends feeling isolated bc their accounts aren’t large enough to get noticed outside of channels - channel owners overwhelmed or checked out or gate keeping - find myself casting less bc i can’t access the specific audience that would care about the topic or have an answer to a specific q i have. not beefing with anyone in particular, just think imho new changes are net negative for the client and for protocol growth. bfg 🫂

lots of friends feeling isolated bc their accounts aren’t large enough to get noticed outside of channels - I don't even look at the home timeline, i only go to channels and read and thats why i only post in channels, so this has been a net negative for users like me channel owners overwhelmed or checked out or gate keeping - i am getting DMs about joining my channels even though there's a frame pinned at the very top, and some of my favorite channels now I have still not been let back into find myself casting less bc i can’t access the specific audience that would care about the topic or have an answer to a specific q i have. - yup

I'm making it work because I don't see it changing back, but yeah feels like swing away from a reddit/twitter hybrid towards twitter/telegram hybrid that I don't love. A lot of times over the last few days I've gone to cast in a channel, hit the membership wall and noped out of casting all together, because casting to my personal feed would be completely out of context.
