Since Spam labels are now public, I’ve spent some time looking at things these accounts have in common vs accounts that don’t get labeled and this is my initial advice for people who’ve been labeled. 1. STOP sharing frames. If you didn’t build it, don’t share it. 2. Stop recasting. Instead, quote cast and spell out why you are sharing it. What makes this worthy of being shared? 3. Ensure 80% of your timeline is original content. Don’t steal it from the web, make something unique and genuine. It better to not cast at all than to cast slop. 4. Only reply to people in channels. If someone casts to their home feed and doesn’t follow you, don’t comment. 5. Stop tagging people. They don’t get notified of the tags anyway. It’s pointless to tag them.

So I wonder about the “anon” accounts like superanon and the bot accounts like askgina that can’t follow you back. I guess for the latter they respond so it wouldn’t be seen as spam, but the anon ones don’t if you leave a reply. I guess it’s not a good idea to interact with them?

There are some bot accounts that the team is aware of that are good bots and I don’t think you can spam labels interacting with them and vice versa.

Makes sense for bots, but do they make exceptions for the anon accounts too where it’s not just one person who might (not) respond to replies?

There are three that are from the super community that constantly are in the leaderboard. Half or more of me wants to get a group together to see how we can show them this can be gamed yet who wants to join this and make it as transparent as can be to show proof of concept?
