this is a philosophical belief that guides a lot of my thinking on @base:

- incubating base inside coinbase
- building on ethereum
- being a part of the superchain
- prioritizing open source
- seeking ways to collaborate with things that could be competitive

web2 / competition = web3 / coopetition

you can generally tell how crypto-native someone is from where they fall on the spectrum. true web3 founders are rare.

base has been so successful because it fully embodies web3 values, thanks in no small part to jesse's leadership. 

together, we all succeed.

agree with the competition (web2) vs coopetition (web3) distinction.  It's not rare among founders but also among VCs
