Assuming you're in the US. We have little influence over whether our will as the people is executed by our elected officials. Any bill on any issue with any amount of support by the public is 30% likely to pass. It will if it serves the politicians' goals, not ours.

sometimes election years can force positive change, because these are the only periods wherein the political incumbents are willing to challenge the status quo (bc their incumbency is in question) and they have no choice but to cater to the will of the people, even if only for a few months. Yesterday is case in point.

agreed, but it shouldn't be this way. the fact that crypto was bad yesterday and now it's suddenly good because of politics makes absolutely no sense from a technological standpoint
