sometimes election years can force positive change, because these are the only periods wherein the political incumbents are willing to challenge the status quo (bc their incumbency is in question) and they have no choice but to cater to the will of the people, even if only for a few months. Yesterday is case in point.

agreed, but it shouldn't be this way. the fact that crypto was bad yesterday and now it's suddenly good because of politics makes absolutely no sense from a technological standpoint

yeah, pretty sad state of affairs. Then there’s this dynamic too of politics being dominated by dinosaurs and it taking awhile for the younger cohort of politicians to feel politically safe to speak out and support ideas that are considered “radical.” Also not great.
