it is because someone like paul graham talked about it and is suggesting that the concept will be explored further — i'm sure most business consulting firms won't like this hearing 'cuz most c-level execs listen to their consultants and are advised considering the top-down approach

i've noticed paul graham challenges his own conventions in his essays which is a rare trait, and you can notice in the essay that he was surprised when many founders were in the same dilemma what brian talked about
