Kek originated (I believe) from World of Warcraft and it was the horde translation for lol Doing numbers I usually see in context of a coin/chart sometimes in place for mooning Lindy = timeless. Often see it used when talking about a style or aesthetic

Some added context: keke / kekeke is the equivalent of haha / hahaha in Korean, of which was a dominant region in competitive StarCraft and other Blizzard games. It was not uncommon for players to say kekeke in Warcraft 3 when they’d steamroll their opponents in a decisive fight. One less popular phrase that originated from that era of 2000s gaming was gosu, which was meant to describe someone who was OP / overpowered or just extremely good at the game https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gosu
