After having the following tab for a while, it's honestly a mistake as long as the Merkle team is convinced on algo feeds. It's ok for now though if it's not the #1 priority for the team at the moment

you think they should remove it? I exclusively use the following feed now. My main feed is garbage tbh, and I don’t even follow that many people

i think about it from the perspective of what it takes to make it work. being in between the two is the worst place to be look into the part of facebook's history where they had to shift their business model toward native ads vs banner ads (desktop to mobile shift). they needed magnitudes more ads in feed to tune it right not fewer ads similarly think you don't need user factions splintered across algo and following. this though can wait until it's a main priority, but i think the tab is a bandaid fix

I’m not sure I follow how having both splinters users? Threads and IG both have both options now. I think the main difference is that there just isn’t enough interesting content to populate the algo feed well today, at least for me personally

100%, so if they can’t nail the algo feed at scale with much more content to pull from, I don’t think its the right move for WC to double down on that for a long time if ever
