Dead man hangs, farmer walks, or just holding heavy dumbbells and standing still for as long as you can. Once you have the grip strength, pull ups and deadlifts are amazing compound movements that also strengthen your grip strength.

My personal trainer has me doing "TRX" or whatever they're called - think parachute ropes fastened up high, 45 deg or so to you, you hold, lean back, arms straight, and then you do squats. My hands/forearms give out faster than my quads, so I think I need this
