should be relative to allowance perhaps. My allowance is 19k, locking 10k for that seems like a joke, similarly if allowance is 100, locking 100k seems high im speculating bc I habe no idea what the purpose of locking is - reducing liquid supply (to drive price up?) or is it a sybil mechanism?

This is a great idea actually. Here's another one: Consider how much each user has claimed so far into account. I myself am willing to stake every single $DEGEN I've claimed so far plus what I will claim on July 4th. It still won't be more than 25k tho which is what I chose. That must be enough skin in the game from me @jacek ! There definitely are farmers who have farmed hundreds of thousands of $degen in the previous seasons who won't mind sparing 25k to to farm more so relative staking amount might work best imo.

If I may make a suggestion: Wouldn't it be better if you consider the earning of users and if they've got like 100k this season, they could lock like half of it And if someone has earned like 5-6k, they should do the same and lock half of it It would be fairer imo

Did you factor in bad actors who have the capability to lock up only to corner these allocations back to themselves and exit when they've milked enough? Why did we not consider a merge of both "skin in the game" and the current open rank system? Any thing on that?

If you want to give happiness and pleasure to many people, the standards must be clear and should not change. If many people agree with the standards, they will enjoy it without leaving regardless of the quantity of locks. Then, the price will naturally stabilize. If you change the standards every month and every season and create confusion, many people will not be able to participate and enjoy it. If you try to catch Farmer, the entire farcaster could be in danger.

There should be a minimum allowance (e.g. 100) for lockers if you lock 15-20k The skin in the game works both ways - a regular user commits to being part of the ecosystem, and you enable them to more actively reward good content
