should be relative to allowance perhaps. My allowance is 19k, locking 10k for that seems like a joke, similarly if allowance is 100, locking 100k seems high

im speculating bc I habe no idea what the purpose of locking is - reducing liquid supply (to drive price up?) or is it a sybil mechanism?

This is a great idea actually. Here's another one:
Consider how much each user has claimed so far into account. 
I myself am willing to stake every single $DEGEN I've claimed so far plus what I will claim on July 4th. It still won't be more than 25k tho which is what I chose.
That must be enough skin in the game from me @jacek !
There definitely are farmers who have farmed hundreds of thousands of $degen in the previous seasons who won't mind sparing 25k to to farm more so relative staking amount might work best imo.
