I know degen is a strong community here - have folks figured out how to proliferate the meme without N number of people responding to a cast with degen tips? Doesn't really add anything to the conversation. There has to be a way of expanding the degen universe without posting random replies, right?

/5 One option would be to implement Degen tipping at the Farcaster client level. It would be cool if Warpcaster open-sourced their code, making forking a web client super easy. Otherwise, creating a Farcaster client from scratch requires massive amounts of effort.

/5 Another option is for the Farcaster protocol to implement a 'super like' feature. Essentially, this would allow users to scale how much they like a cast. Currently, simply 'hearting' a cast is binary.

/5 I believe there should be more depth to this dimension to allow for scaling likes on casts. Then, for Degen tips, we could use that scale to implement tipping without replies. In fact, this is what tipping, in a way, solves.

/5 Yet another option is, of course, for Warpcaster to give channels the ability to enable tipping if they so choose. Why shouldn't a channel be able to choose what currency users can tip in their channel?

/5 I realize there might be implications with the Apple Store, etc., as to why Warpcaster might not want to do this. Hence, my point about open-sourcing Warpcaster so that other people can do it instead.
