As a founder myself, sometimes such questions from angels are a bit patronising as many angels only add capital / terse 'connections'. I think the best investors are from within the same industry so that questions to founders are about relevant hard things from the get go.

What does this look like if everything works out? What is your greatest source of motivation? What are you most scared of? (And more context specific questions / variations of the above)

I almost exclusively am the one to reach out re. investment — so I already have a thesis in why I find the company interesting and often I’m pitching them and not the other way around. Just looking for a spark and an articulate explanation of what the company is doing.

Assuming questions around PMF, the problem they’re solving, etc are out of the way since I’m considering investing: How does the product team engage w current/potential customers? Retention/churn? How are you currently getting users / what does user acquisition cost?
